How to Care for Your Mums: Keep Them Thriving All Season!
Mums are thirsty plants! Check them daily—if the soil feels dry to the touch, it’s time for a drink. Each mum typically needs about a gallon of water to stay healthy and vibrant.
If your mums look wilted, don’t worry! Place them in a shallow tray of water for about an hour to let them absorb the moisture they need. This ensures the plant is fully hydrated and ready to bounce back.
Plant them in the ground before the end of September to give them plenty of time to establish strong roots. Regular watering is still important! For an extra boost, use a root-stimulating fertilizer to help them thrive through fall and return next season.
