No, all of our sweet corn is NON-GMO! While GMOs offer benefits like reduced herbicide and pesticide use, we’re committed to sticking with the fantastic quality and flavor of our current crops. Curious about GMOs? Head over to GMOanswers.com to learn more.

At this time, we do not have any Pick-Your-Own fields available.

We’re proud to give back to the community by donating slightly blemished produce to local food pantries. If you represent a kitchen or pantry and would like to pick up produce, call our home farm office at 740-984-4009.

Unfortunately, due to liability reasons, we cannot offer spoiled produce for any purpose. It’s taken back to the farm for composting, ensuring it’s handled responsibly.

Yes! Rain or shine, we’re here for you (just bring an umbrella!). However, for everyone’s safety, we close during storms. We try to close 5-10 minutes before a storm hits and will reopen as soon as it passes.

Produce

No, our tomatoes are grown in a High Tunnel and planted directly in the ground.  This is not considered a Greenhouse or Hot House. See more on out tomato page.

Our tomatoes require extra care and costs to be ready earlier in the year. The result is a flavor that far surpasses what you’ll find in grocery stores.

Yes, we sell our corn by the “Party Bag” which is 4 Dozen(52 ears) which is a little smaller than an official Bushel.  We also sell our sweet corn by individual ears or by the dozen.

For the best flavor, enjoy sweet corn within 2 days of purchase. Its natural sweetness turns to starch over time. If you can’t eat it right away, store it in the husks in the refrigerator to keep it fresher longer.

Place firm peaches in a paper bag and leave them on the counter for a couple of days. Check them periodically until they reach your preferred softness. Once they’re ripe, either enjoy them or store them in the fridge.

Look for a gold or yellow tint on the skin, lots of netting, and a strong cantaloupe fragrance near the stem.

Listen for a hollow sound when you knock on it, check for a yellow spot on the bottom, and look for a strong contrast between the light and dark stripes.

Flowers

Our flower season runs from mid-April to mid-June, so don’t wait too long to add some color to your garden!

Yes! Join our Flower Power program and earn $30 off plus a FREE Witten’s t-shirt after spending $400 on flowers. Ask any team member for a Flower Power card, and earn a punch for every $20 you spend. Once your card is full, you’ll enjoy a $30 discount and one of our fun flower shirts!

We don’t carry shrubs or roses, but we do have a fantastic variety of perennials, herbs, and annuals to refresh your landscape each year.

Our veggie plants come in 4-packs, and we don’t break them up; you must purchase the whole pack.

Yes, we carry 1-2 varieties of Wave petunias. However, we highly recommend the Supertunia series for their vigorous growth and outstanding performance in hanging baskets, containers, and landscapes. We want to set you up for success with the best options!

Sun means the plant needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Part-sun plants require 3-4 hours, and part-shade plants thrive with 3 hours or less of sunlight a day.

You’re in luck! Begonias (tuberous, rex, and dragon wings), coleus, fuchsia, torenia, oxalis, and euphorbia all do beautifully in the shade, offering vibrant alternatives to impatiens.
